About us

Founded by Iasmina Carmidariu, a certified yoga teacher and holistic coach, Asteya grew from her personal connection with yoga and holistic practices.

During her time in India, Iasmina discovered a deeper connection with these practices and with a different way of approaching everyday life. Beyond yoga itself, she became inspired by the importance of slowing down, being more present, taking care of the body and mind, and finding meaning in simple daily rituals.

Her time in India stayed with her even after she returned home. She wanted to bring a part of that experience into everyday life and share it with others.

That is how Asteya started.

How did it all begin?

The idea was simple: to create a product brand inspired by holistic living, offering things that can naturally become part of everyday routines - whether it is through yoga, meditation, self-care, or simply creating a little more space for yourself during the day.

From yoga mats and meditation cushions to everyday wellness products, Asteya focuses on products that are practical, thoughtfully chosen, and connected to a more conscious way of living.

Asteya is not about perfection or following a particular lifestyle. It is about finding small ways to feel better, live more consciously, and create a stronger connection with yourself.

What started with Iasmina’s experience in India has grown into Asteya - a brand created to bring a little of that inspiration into everyday life.

What is Asteya?

One of the 5 Yamas of the yogic tradition, a Sanskrit word, meaning "not stealing."

  • Balance between what we receive and what we give.
  • Respect for the resources we have: food, time, energy, resources for future generations, our work/creation, and that of others.
  • Awareness of real needs, with a gradual reduction of unnecessary consumption.
  • Cultivation of gratitude and compassion for ourselves and others
